How to achieve this look:

1. Start by applying your base coat, I used Essie All in One.

2. Apply 2-3 layers of your base color, I used China Glaze Too Yacht to Handle.

3. Apply liquid latex or tape around your cuticle for easy clean up.

4. In a cup of room temperature water, drop s few drops of a silver nail polish into your water. I used Sally Hansen Celeb City.

5. Sprits the spread polish with hairspray to create design.

6. When you're happy with your design, lineup your nails and dip in.

7. Using a cotton swab clean the surface of the water, once the water is clean, slowly remove your fingers.

8. Repeat steps 4-7 with a black polish, I used Sally Hansen Black Out.

9. Remove the latex or tape with tweezers, and with a small brush and acetone clean around your cuticles. I use the Kolinksy French Nail Brush #12.

10. When you're finished apply a top coat, I used NYC Grand Central Station. (If you would like to make this look matte, apply your favorite matte top coat. I like Wet'n'Wild's matte top coat.)

Electric Nights Water Marble

How to get this look:

1. Start by applying your base coat, I used Essie All in One.

2. Then, apply two coats China Glaze Plur-ple on your thumb, pointer, and pinky nails. On the middle and ring fingers I used Milani Spotlight White as a base color for my accent nails. (In general using a white base for neons helps the colors turn out more vibrant.)

3. Apply liquid latex or tape around your cuticle for easy clean up on your accent nails.

4. In a cup of room temperature water, create a bullseye by dropping different colors of nail polish. I used China Glaze Plur-ple, DJ Blue My Mind, and Red-y to Rave.

5. Using a needle, toothpick, or a dotting tool create a design from the bullseye.

6. When you're happy with your design, lineup your nails and dip in.

7. Using a cotton swab clean the surface of the water. Once the water is clean, slowly remove your fingers and remove the latex or tape with tweezers.

8. With a small brush and acetone clean around your cuticles. I use the Kolinksy French Nail Brush #12.

9. When you're finished apply a top coat, I used NYC Grand Central Station.

Painted Butterflies

How to achieve this look:

1. Start by applying your base coat, I used Essie All in One.

2. Then, apply your base colors to each nail. On the middle and ring fingers I used Milani Spotlight White as a base color for my accent nails. (In general using a white base for neons helps the colors turn out more vibrant.)

3. Apply drops of each color to a damp makeup sponge, and lightly apply it to the two accent nails. Apply the sponged colors in several thin layers to build to the desired color depth.

4. I used CICI&SISI plate 07 to apply the butterfly design.

5. With a small brush and acetone clean around your cuticles. I use the Kolinksy French Nail Brush #12.

6. When you're finished apply a top coat, I used NYC Grand Central Station.

The inspiration for this mani was my daughter's Easter dress.

Boho Blue Water Marble

How to get this look:

1. Start by applying your base coat, I used Essie All in One.

2. Then, apply the base colors for each nail. I used China Glaze Boho Blue and I Brake for Colour.

3. Apply liquid latex or tape around your cuticle for easy clean up on your accent nail.

4. In a cup of room temperature water, create a bullseye by alternating drops of each color of nail polish.

5. Using a needle, toothpick, or a dotting tool create a design from the bullseye.

6. When you're happy with your design, lineup your nails and dip in.

7. Using a cotton swab clean the surface of the water. Once the water is clean, slowly remove your fingers and remove the latex or tape with tweezers.

8. I topped my pointer and pinky with a flakie topper by Fresh Paint Sugar Crush.

8. With a small brush and acetone clean around your cuticles. I use the Kolinksy French Nail Brush #12.

9. When you're finished apply a top coat, I used NYC Grand Central Station.

Rainbow Water Marble

How to get this look:

1. Start by applying your base coat, I used Essie All in One.

2. Then, apply a white base to help your colors pop, I used Pure Ice White.

3. Apply liquid latex or tape around your cuticle for easy clean up on your accent nails. 

4. In a cup of room temperature water, create a bulls eye by dropping different colors of nail polish. Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Nail colors, they work great for marbling.

5. Using a needle, toothpick, or a dotting tool create a design from the bulls eye.

6. When you're happy with your design, lineup your nails and dip in. 

7. Using a cotton swab clean the surface of the water. Once the water is clean, slowly remove your fingers and remove the latex or tape with tweezers. 

8. With a small brush and acetone clean around your cuticles. I use the Kolinksy French Nail Brush #12. 

9. When you're finished apply a top coat, I used NYC Grand Central Station.

You can use all kinds of different tools for water marbling. I like to use a shot glass most of the time, I like how it keeps my bulls eye from spreading too far out, it works well for me. I use a needle to make my designs, wiping off the polish between each line of design to keep it clean and precise.

Peek-a-boo Water Marble

Here is a peek-a-boo water marble using OPI Infinite Shine Grapely Admired and L'oreal Masked Affair. This can be a great way to get the water marble look with a polish that doesn't water marble well (Masked Affair in this case).

How to get this look:

1. Start by applying one coat of OPI Infinite Shine Primer Base Coat.

2. Then, apply two coats of OPI Infinite Shine Grapely Admired. I used L'oreal Masked Affair as a base color for my accent nails.

3. Apply liquid latex or tape around your cuticle for easy clean up.

4. In a cup of room temperature water, create a bullseye by dropping different colors of nail polish. I used OPI Infinite Shine Grapely Admired and Primer Base (clear so you can see my base peek through).

5. Using a needle, toothpick, or a dotting tool create a design from the bullseye.

6. When you're happy with your design, lineup your nails and dip in. Using a cotton swab clean the surface of the water.

7. Once the water is clean, slowly remove your finger and remove the latex or tape with tweezers.

8. With a small brush and acetone clean around your cuticles. I used the Kolinksy French Nail Brush #12.

9. When you're finished apply OPI Infinite Shine Gloss Top Coat.
